APMSTS 2023

The recently-concluded meeting in Taiwan was a big success. Out of 334 registrants, 324 delegates from 19 countries attended the 4-day series of academic and social events. Two hundred eighty-two papers were selected from over 307 abstract submissions, from which there were 80 posters, 58 Flash presentations, and 144 podium presentations.

Prof. Toshifumi Ozaki delivered the Presidential lecture, having served as Chairman of the 13th APMSTS meeting held in Okayama, Japan. Following the 2021 conference’s hybrid format, this year marked the return to face-to-face proceedings.

Distinguished guests enjoyed nighttime city views from the 85th floor of the iconic Taipei 101 building during the President’s Dinner. The highlight of the festivities however, were cultural performances that showcased each country’s creativity and flair during the Gala dinner. This year, awards were given for the Best Oral presentation, Best Flash Presentation, and Best Poster, while three delegates representing Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines were selected as promising Young Investigator awardees. In accordance with previous meetings, the Yoshio Ogihara lectureship will be conferred to Professor Wei Ming Chen as the immediate past president.

Professor Chen would like to express his deepest gratitude to all participants who contributed to the overwhelming success of this meeting. The team looks forward to seeing everyone again in Indonesia!

First and foremost, we would like to deliver our congratulations on the big success of the 13th APMSTS meeting held in Okayama, Japan. The COVID-19 pandemic is holding us apart temporarily. We are unable to attend the meeting in Okayama this year, but our hearts remain together and we will continue to support APMSTS from Taiwan! Thank Professor Toshifumi Ozaki and the organizing committee for holding this meeting. Your hard work and dedication have made a wonderful dream come true during the global lockdown.

Here, on behalf of all orthopedic oncologists and orthopedic surgeons in Taiwan, we are very delighted to invite all of you to attend the 14th APMSTS meeting in Taipei. The meeting will be held from October 4 to 7 in year 2023. We believe the pandemic will be over at that time and there will be no more distance between us. We have chosen the beautiful and modern Taipei Marriott Hotel to be our venue. It is located in downtown Taipei and within proximity to shopping centers and the iconic building Taipei 101. We will also prepare delicious food and fun cultural events! We hope the pandemic will be over soon, and 2 years later, under virus-free condition, we wish to welcome you with our open arms! We will do our best to make your journey in Taiwan most pleasant and memorable!
